The Bay Area is one of the easiest places to experience both pristine nature and city life all at once. Most of the places to elope in San Francisco mentioned in this list are within 30 minutes of the city center or just around an hour’s drive! Can you imagine having the best of both worlds?! Because it’s possible here!

Rodeo Beach

Another one of my favorites, Rodeo Beach is the perfect spot to post up for the day. With parking next to the beach and tons of amenities, this beach is great for setting up a boho lounge for you and your love! There are also wildflowers, grassy spots, cliffs, amazing jagged rock formations, and a nearly-guaranteed gorgeous sunset every night!

Half Moon Bay

If you are looking for some quaint, beach town vibes, Half Moon Bay is your spot!

Sonoma & Napa Counties

If you’re a wine-o then I’m sure this spot is already on your radar. Famous for its vineyards, both Napa and Sonoma county are the go-to destinations if you’d like to elope in the Bay Area while drinking the best wines the state has to offer!

Marin Headlands

While I’ve mentioned a few specific beaches within the Marin Headlands natural space, I also want to give a little attention to the rest of the area! There are so many cool cliffs, gorgeous rolling hills, and absolutely stunning views of the city + Golden Gate Bridge. Definitely a park to consider for your San Francisco elopement!

San Pedro Valley Park

Stunning mountain hikes with coastal views, magical forests, and peaceful trails — it seems like San Pedro Valley Park has it all when it comes to a place to elope in San Francisco! Only 30 minutes south of the city, I vote this park a GO for your elopement day!

Lands End + Sutro Baths

This epic spot is famous for a reason. It’s really freaking cool. Within San Francisco itself, this area is easily accessible and close to so many amazing amenities and restaurants! Planning a day around San Francisco for your elopement will not be a challenge by any stretch of the imagination!

Muri Woods National Monument

What a magical forest! Muri Woods is home to one of the last old-growth coast redwood forests remaining in the Bay Area! What a special and unique place to elope in San Francisco!

Marin County

Marin County has a special place in my heart. Being less densely populated than the surrounding counties, Marin is covered in beautiful natural parks and trails! Here, you can find a gorgeous spot to elope everywhere you turn!

Point Reyes National Seashore

Just an hour or two outside of the city, Point Reyes National Seashore is a truly peaceful place to elope in the Bay Area. Just far enough out, it’s not overrun with tourists, Point Reyes offers some beautiful hikes, stunning sweeping landscapes, and a scenic drive through the park. I adore this treasure of a spot and absolutely recommend it for your Bay Area elopement!

Mount Diablo State Park

Reaching nearly 4,000 feet, Mt Diablo is one of the higher peaks in the Bay Area! The scenes here are absolutely STUNNING. Definitely add this to your list of potential places to elope in the Bay Area!!
